It's time to say goodbye to 2015 and welcome 2016 with open arms!
2015 was a roller coaster year for me. At the start of the year I was recovering from surgery after having a collapsed lung so had to have the weak part removed... not something I was expecting or enjoyed! It's taken me pretty much of all 2015 to get back to full strength having been banned from heavy lifting for 12 months. However I certainly haven't let that hold me back and the whole ordeal actually opened my eyes to what I love doing, and that's working with amazing couples and capturing their special days. The year 2015 was certainly full of both and it's been such an amazing pleasure to capture a part of history for everyone I've worked with.
2015 was also the year I got married myself! If I could re-live that day over and over I certainly would. It was so good to have all my friends and family in one place together having one huge party! Getting married myself has certainly helped with my photography and also the advice I can now give to my couples having planned and now experienced myself.
So what does 2016 have install? I have more weddings than I thought I'd have at this stage of the year which is amazing and I have a few wedding fairs lined up that I can't wait for! I'm hoping to start blogging more and will also be adding some venue write ups to the site along with some more helpful advice. I've been toying with the idea of making some videos to cover certain topics but we will have to see how the year goes!
