Mitton Hall, North West Wedding: Catherine & Mitchel
I couldn't have been happier when Catherine and Mitchel got in touch about their wedding having already met them at several of their friend's weddings during the summer. Such a great couple I knew they'd have an awesome wedding. They'd chosen Mitton Hall in the North West as their location and once you've visited the wedding venue it's easy to see why! Plenty of character and space making it the perfect place for your reception and also for wedding photography.
Wedding preparations.
The day started at Catherine's parent's house, and like her friend's weddings, it too started off full of smiles and laughter while getting ready. Being greeted by the family dogs is always a bonus being a huge dog lover! Catherine looked amazing in her wedding dress making it impossible to take a bad image! The weather for December was being real generous and the sun was out as I headed over to the church for the wedding service. Catherine beamed throughout and once the "I do's" were over it was time to head over to Mitton Hall.
Let the party being at Mitton Hall.
When we arrived we went straight into the couples portraits while guests made their way over to the venue. With it being winter we also knew that the light wouldn't last too long so we wanted to make sure we got some photos while it was still bright. The venue offers a lot of opportunity for great images as the grounds are so picturesque. After we'd had a great time laughing and capturing around the grounds we headed out from for a few family formals before everyone headed indoors. The room was decorated perfectly with stunning flowers, wreaths and candles which really set the tone for their theme.
After the wedding breakfast, the party kicked off right away. The tables were numbers for the 12 days of Christmas and the room exploded into song with each table singing their line according to their table name. It was amazing to photograph though tough as it was just too funny! The evening party continued well into the night allowing for some natural dancing photos and even some more portraits in the dark.
Wedding photography at Mitton Hall.
Shooting a wedding at Mitton Hall is made all too easy by the stunning setting and the amazing character that the building has. You can be in the old part one minute that's full of wooden beams and a huge roaring fire and then seconds later be stood in the reception room that's nice and neutral allowing for you to put your own stamp on the place for your special day. The grounds allow for some amazing photos, even in the winter with the building also allowing for indoor photographs also. It's certainly one of my favourite venues to work at.
