Wynne and Jung's Manchester Wedding!
A STUNNING MANCHESTER WEDDING WITH A GREAT CAUSE!
When Wynne and Jung first got in touch with me about their Chinese wedding in Manchester, I was so excited – they were planning a stylish religious wedding with a church ceremony, with lots of personal touches and even a Chinese tea serving ceremony. Wynne and Jung are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
The excitement before the wedding
I rocked up at the Manchester hotel, where the bride and her friends were getting ready together, and it was really chilled, because everyone was in a good mood. Wynne wore a stunning lace patterned dress for the ceremony and Jung wore a modern blue suit and blush pink tie and they looked so incredible. Wynne had several dress changes throughout the day which is quite traditional of a Chinese wedding and each one was as stunning as the next.
The ceremony
The wedding took place at Christ Church, Manchester, and was a stunning church ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which was just magical. They both smiled throughout the ceremony as their guests watched on matching their expressions. After the ceremony we did confetti outside the church door, and then the celebrations began. With more than 200 guests it was a challenge to get a group shot of everyone but it looked amazing at the front of the church.
The reception
The wedding reception took place at The Message Enterprise Centre, which is a Centre opened in 2012 and is providing a holistic solution for men and women leaving prison and rehabilitation who are serious about making a new start. It was the perfect place for their wedding as they wanted to hire a venue that would put the money to good use.
It was a beautifully sunny day, which was perfect for photos. While the guests enjoyed canapés and drinks, we took a little detour to a local park for some natural portraits. My favourite photo from our portrait session is from the colour gardens where they had some times to themselves to let it all sink in.
During the reception they had a photobooth, which everyone loved. For the wedding breakfast they had some delicious Chinese dishes, and it was so yummy. After dinner they went straight into the first dance, then everyone hit the dancefloor and partied into the night as the sunset. The dance moves that came out that evening were ones to remember!I don't think I've come across a group who can dance so well.
