Claire and Paul's Wedding at Stirk House!

Claire and Paul's Wedding at Stirk House!

Claire and Paul chose to marry at Stirk House, Lancashire just north of Clitheroe. An award-winning venue with 22 acres to explore!

The morning started with Claire getting her hair and make up done with her daughter and a few friends to keep her calm. Excitement was buzzing throughout the venue as she got ready and I knew we were in for a day filled with laughter and smiles.

Claire walked down the aisle with her daughter smiling from ear to ear as she saw Paul waiting and the smile didn’t move from her face throughout the ceremony as they exchanged their vows in front of their family and friends. After the ceremony everyone met outside for the drinks reception and to throw confetti over the newlyweds. The wind was out but it wasn’t enough to stop guess enjoying the sun outside. After some time I took the couple for a few portraits around the venue picking out all the stunning locations that Stirk House has to offer. I love to capture natural portraits of the couple and take them away from the madness for a short period to let it all sink in. I then made my way over to the bouncy castle where the children were entertaining themselves before the wedding breakfast. This was the perfect place to get some action shots!

After the wedding breakfast, a few ‘thank yous’ were given out, as a couple didn’t want lots of wedding speeches. As they turned the room around we headed outside to capture a few pictures with the sunset before the evening reception was to begin. They cut their wedding cake together, including the daughter, which was a lovely moment to have her involved in.   The couple then took to the dance-floor for their first dance which kicked off the evening party. They had a Photo Booth which was very popular with the guests and as the bouncy castle was there into the night it was inevitable to make for some great photo opportunities. We ended the night outside with sparklers and the wedding guests which was a lovely way to end the night.
