Frances and Matt chose the quirky Owen House Wedding Barn for the wedding location. Situated just outside of Knutsford, this old converted barn is the perfect place to hold a relaxed wedding. Packed with character, charm and space, it really is a great location choice to celebrate your big day.

I arrived to capture Frances getting ready with her bridesmaids and even had the opportunity to nip over to the guys to capture a few photos while they got ready also. Matt looked amazing in his Ted Baker suit which certainly was a little different and showcase his character. It also went perfectly with Frances’ shorter wedding dress which showcased some amazing wedding shoes!!

Frances smiled from ear to ear as she made her way down the aisle to meet Matt and didn’t lose the smile throughout the wedding ceremony.   After a few touching readings and the exchange of vows, the newlyweds headed outside into the Sun to meet and greet their family and friends. This is the perfect opportunity for me to capture some candid moments of the guests as they drank, smiled, laughed and soaked up the stunning location.

After a while the bridal party headed to the back of the venue to the hay bales to have a few photos. Owen House Wedding Barn has plenty of custom-built locations that are perfect for portraits and family photos, no matter what the weather has in store. It’s certainly a very worthwhile selling point.  Once these were done and everyone headed back out to the sun, I kept Francis and Matt back to have a few natural portraits of themselves and to give them some time together as they haven’t seen each other properly since the night before.

It was soon time for the speeches which were short, sweet and straight to the point. We even had a joint speech for my bride and groom breaking the tradition which is always welcome as there are no set rules on how your day should be. After the meal and speeches guests mingled within the grounds I went back to the rooms to freshen up for the evening party. However the Flower girls were still full of life and making the most of the vast space for them to play.

Before the evening guests arrived we headed back to the new shooting gallery, a large space specifically designed for bride and groom portraits. The space offers a range of backdrops, perfect for your wedding portraits.

It wasn’t long before the evening guests arrived and the time came for the bride and groom to do their first dance. Shortly into the dance the family and friends were welcomed onto the dance-floor and the party begun. It really was a pleasure to capture this wedding at such a stunning location with such a friendly group.
