Bartle Hall, North West Wedding Photography: Lauren & Nick

The morning...

Lauren and Nick chose Bartle Hall, Preston, North West for their wedding day.  A stunning manor house and barn where the premises are known to have existed as far back as 1600.  They had chosen the barn part of the property, which is the perfect spot for a rustic wedding with lots of original features, beams and set within 16 acres of landscaped gardens.

The girls got ready at home and as soon as I arrived I knew it was going to be an awesome, fun-filled day.  Straight from the start everyone was smiling and laughing, the perfect way to start your wedding day!  With the guys getting ready just around the corner I was able to quickly run over to capture part of their morning also!

The service and the reception...

The wedding service at Bartle Hall looked simply stunning.  Even though the heavens had opened before the service it certainly couldn't dampen the mood inside with lots of amazing colour and stunning decoration.

Lauren looked amazing when she arrived and Nick couldn't stop smiling as soon as he saw her coming down the aisle.  With plenty of tears, laughter and smiles the service was over and we headed outside were the sun had now come out and it was lovely and warm.  Guests grouped outside in the sun for canapés and drinks and soaked in the awesome grounds that Bartle Hall has to offer.

The couples portraits and the speeches...

I love doing portraits on the wedding day.  It's always fun to look for awesome settings for them and a great moment to steal them away from the guests so they can have a little alone time.  We were surrounded by lovely locations so finding places of photos didn't prove to be a problem and Lauren and Nicked bounced off each other perfectly allowing for some awesome photos.

Once we'd finished with the couple photos it was time to head back inside for the speeches and wedding breakfast.  The speeches continued the love that had been in the air all day and lead to some real belly laughs, some heart felt tears and some great stories to share.  It was a true pleasure to witness them and to capture the natural reactions around the room.

The evening reception...

The evening reception can mean only one thing... cake cut, first dance and then PARTY!  As the night drew in the barn looked simply stunning with fairy lights decorating the walls and large love letters gracing the stage to really finish off the look.  They had a large ska band for the evening who performed perfectly and filled the dance floor from the second they started playing, all the way through the night!  The party really started quickly and everyone appeared to be having an awesome time.  I love to capture the evening as people have relaxed as the formalities are over and it always makes for some great photos!

Being a north west wedding photographer at Bartle Hall is an absolute pleasure.  The grounds are simply stunning and with a choice of venues within the grounds you are spoilt for choice as to which one to pick.  The barn is perfect for a rustic, relaxed wedding day or the hall is perfect if you are looking for a grand setting to host your big day.

It certainly a wedding venue that's worth checking out and if you like the photography above and would love your day captured there then be sure to give me a shout!
