One thing I need to do more of during the crazy wedding season is to see my friends and family more. It's so easy to get wrapped up with work whether that's shooting, booking, talking or editing weddings that you don't free up time for others around you.
Last week I had to play catchup after computer issues so I spent long days locked in my office in the dark working double time to get back in front. On the plus side to this I managed to do 3 seasons of Suits in under a week... I could now be a lawyer ;)
As I got to the end of the tunnel and the light was in sight I realised how important it will be to maintain a good work, life balance and that taking some time out to see your family and friends isn't a bad thing. I've always felt guilty when I've been out or away that there's an email that needs replying to or some editing that needs finishing but realistically people work 9-5 then switch off because if you drive for too long your simply going to get tired and crash, and I certainly don't want that!
So, as I head into a pretty busy summer I'm going to make sure I time managed myself so that I have a bit of time to relax and see the folks I love as after all...
